The game is a lot of fun. It’s active and involves proactive investigative questioning mixed with puzzles for guests to solve
on their own or with help from others. You’ll have an agenda to go through with your party, but here is the flow of
each of our mystery games:
- The host introduces the crime scene and the rules
- Characters introduce themselves
- The investigation begins: All characters want to figure out who committed the crime and why they did it. Everyone
knows different things, so players need to talk to each other. In Everyone has a set of secrets they need to keep
hidden and a list of things they need to do during the investigation. They’ll be up and moving around - confronting
and questioning other characters to try to discover who had the motive and who is innocent.
- As the game goes on, more clues and puzzles are revealed to certain characters.
- When we are nearing the end of the game (each game has different timing suggestions), everyone writes down their best
guess of who committed the crime and why.
- We read the accusations aloud.
- The actual story is revealed.
- Prize winners are announced.
You’ll have the option to choose between PDF and app versions:
- PDF Version:
- The email will include:
- Instructions for the Host
- A couple of materials for the host to print for the party. You can view these on a phone, but it would be easier
to print them.
- Individual PDFs that you can forward to each player about their assigned character. They can print them or view
them on their phone.
- App version:
- We are excited to be releasing a version this Spring that will allow you to play right from your phones. No need
to download or print anything. You and the other players will be added to your own mystery game. You’ll get all
the info you need in the app. Players will solve puzzles, get late breaking clues, and submit accusations, all on
the app itself!
When you purchase the game, you’ll get a host guide that is specific to that game, but you can also see a sample
here.

Definitely! The host can play. The host will be given enough information to setup and keep the game moving, but won’t know
the solution before anyone else. If you play the PDF version, the host will be charged with holding onto the puzzle
and game solutions, so as long as they dont cheat and look ahead, they won’t know more than others. If you play on
the app, the host definitely won’t see the solution until the rest of the group does.
Yes. The guest playing the guilty party will know they are guilty. Like all the other players, they have a secret (or two)
they are trying to keep to themselves. They’ll be working to throw off suspicion.
Start with the Host Guide. The host guide will navigate you thru any other setup you need to do.
